Terms of Service

Last updated 16 June 2026Operator Aiko van WingerdenContact hi@aiko.works

These terms govern use of the mobrule service — the mobrule.tv website, the desktop app, and the cloud backend, operated by Aiko van Wingerden ("we"). By using the service you accept these terms.

01Scope

mobrule is open-source software licensed under AGPL-3.0; these terms govern the hosted service we operate, not your rights under that licence.

02No warranty

The service and software are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This restates the warranty disclaimer of the AGPL-3.0 licence (sections 15–16). We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

03Packs are third-party content

mobrule runs "packs" — bundles of configuration and code that turn channel events into in-game effects. A pack is created and distributed by its author. Except for packs we explicitly publish ourselves, we do not author, host, distribute, review, vet, or endorse packs, and we make no representation about their security, quality, or legality.

mobrule is a tool that runs packs at your direction. Installing and running a pack is at your own risk. A pack can execute code on your machine; you are responsible for deciding which packs to trust.

Each pack's author is solely responsible for that pack — including its security, its content, and its compliance with copyright and all other applicable law. Packs that build on third-party games must do so lawfully (for example, building from a copy of a game you own, rather than distributing copyrighted game assets).

04Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • distribute malware or code intended to harm others;
  • infringe copyright or other intellectual-property rights;
  • violate Twitch's terms or any applicable law;
  • disrupt or abuse the service or its infrastructure.

05Intellectual-property complaints

If you believe content we host infringes your rights, contact hi@aiko.works with details. We will review and remove or delist infringing material we host. For packs distributed by their authors elsewhere, contact the author directly.

06Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damage arising from packs or other third-party content, arising out of your use of the service.

07Changes

We may update these terms; changes are posted here with a new date.
